Can you site those rules from sanctioning bodies?
Our impression is that it is left up to the competitor as long as there IS a fuel cell, and as long as the fire bottle(s) is pressurized. Naturally, most sanctioning bodies have time-life rules on harnesses and helmets - but other safety stuff?
