I have looked at many photos of various 912s and had concluded and Jaems has varified, that there was no gold script on the 912s, but I have seen quite a few with gold script. This I believe is do to the relative rarity of the connected PORSCHE chrome letters and the fact that for some reason they were lost or removed from the 912 and when they went to replace them the only ones they could find were the gold ones. I found 1 on ebay and have not seen another since. I thought that it looked alittle strange to see a chrome 912 with a gold PORSCHE. I believe that mine was hit in the rear and rather than mess with searching for another, they just dechromed the decklid. I will try to post before and after pics if I can figure out how...It made a world of difference and was well worth the price...
