Hi Pelicanites,

We adopted a 1 1/2 year old Beagle mix in January. She has been clean except for an occasional mistake, however, she has decided to ***** in our living room 2 out of the last 3 days. This morning I took her on a walk right after waking up and she didn't really do anything. I blocked off access to our living room, so instead of *****ting in the living room, she pooped by the door. I think she might be jealous of a friend's dog that we has been keeping for the past 10 days while they have been out of town.

She's a very sweet dog otherwise and has been great with our 1 1/2 year old daughter, but my wife/SO is ready to bring her back to the pound if she does it again. I won't let her, but it is getting frustrating. What the best way to change her behavior? I am not sure my scolding her is doing any good.
