Well, I can add one more consumable, but not an inforced one by the inspectors yet, but related to the fuel cell.
After my full inspection of my fuel Cell, I put it all back together, and loaded the truck for the race this weekend. Added 5 Gal of gas to load the car and as I was rolling it out of the garage there was a huge pool of gas under the car.
So I rack my brain to remember if I tighten everything, and I did, so what is going on? Well as I was inspecting my fuel cell I removed the fuel lines to get the bladder out, and they were so brittle that they cracked and were the source of the leak.
So please
add fuel line inspection to the fuel cell inspection
. With mine I was able to hear the line cracking as I flexed them. They were the braided stainless steel type.
So I pushed the car back into the garage with one more thing on the to do list before I can go racing.
