If it makes you feel better to insult my intelligence, then I hope you enjoyed it. I was trying to give Milt an honest answer to what I believed to be an honest question. In fact, since you believe all this to be superstition and bronze age nonsense, I truly wonder why you bothered to read the thread at all.
I doubt you care, but in answer to your question to Trekkor, neither passage is incorrect. The old testament was originally written in Hebrew and N.T. in Greek. The OT word in Ecclesiastes, if I have interpreted correctly, the Hebrew word is Yada, which means to know or to experience. In this sense, the dead no longer experience or know life on this earth.
