Agreed but any meeting with anyone from the school needs to be with others with you. Like Todd said, HR will never meet with you with less than 3 people. Do the same yourself and hopefully have another students parent with you.
If its your wife they can say that the two of you were biased, but with another students parent that goes out the window and helps your situation should something come up.
