Excellent write up! I would be very interested to get a write up on your voltage regulator replacement. For $80, it is certainly worth trying that as the replacement first. I have been reading about the Sumitomo tires from Japan at a fraction of the replacement cost. I believe they run $109 from Tire Rack and my father in law runs them on his corvette and they have been stellar. I also have a very particular friend who put the Sumi's on his '02 996 and absolutely loves them. Tire Rack has some great deals and they ship next day to your house or your tire shop.
