I have always referred to those as coffins. An MRI will not rip a tattoo off, a metal plate in your head would be a different story(oops, someone already said that).
Had a guy come into the VA in Albequerque who had a .32 slug inside his melon. He forgot about it(how you forget you have a slug in your head, I don't know) I was looking through his old films and see this white spot, ask him about it, "Oh yeah, that is from when I got shot in Truth or Consequences" Glad I looked, that would have been bad.
