The cahnces for a valve are low. It is mostly a simple ignition wire or a CIS/EFI relatet problem but people driving with that "little" problem longer start a other problem. Also this shows that other ( lack of ) maintaince relatet problems can show up.
have a eye on the spark plug and a leak down would show more.
Renewing the dash is time intensive but not a big problem.
928 Value is something from the market. Just look around if you can shop a other comperable car in the marked. OK old Camaros might be chaeaper and simpler to fix. But realy comparable Camaros are Z28 or IROC Z´s.
