IMHO 914s ought not to have hood crests. They just don't seem "right" on the car. And it's pretty much an irreversible decision--once those holes are drilled, they're drilled.
I remember when I bought my first 914, a '73 1.7 I bought in 1976, the PO had installed a hood crest, Porsche side stripes and a reflective Porsche windshield banner. I always felt like he had an inferiority complex about the car.
My vote is no.
