Is there any programs on it that you absolutely must save? or dont have copies of? Best way to clean it, (barring a HD failure) is to reinstall XP. it will will wipe everything clean. Ive done it to two PCs recently that i got used for my kids that the owners got so frustrated with that they bought new ones, and now they run great.
