My eyes weren't bad, started wearing glasses at 23, so I could never get used to them. I had Lasik done at around 5 p.m. and was out of the office by 5:45. Your eyes might feel like you've swam in a heavily chlorinated pool. They gave me Valium for the surgery so I went home and crashed out. Woke up the next A.M. with 15/15 vision.
Best thing you could do for yourself. Make sure you pick up a nice pair of sunglasses before hand. That's the only side effect I have 5 years later, I need my shades in the brite sunshine. Good luck.
