This is an interesting thread. I have thought about eye surgery for some time. I have poor vision, without glasses I could not recognize you from 10' away. On the other hand, wearing glasses is not so terribly bad. Not having to would be a convenience to me, not more. As for the risk, I've been waiting for one of the methods to accumulate 30+ years track record and for that track record to be studied in detail. Sounds like in 5-10 years I'll be able to really weigh the risk vs the benefit. When it comes to my vision, I am conservative.
