BTW, the Sixes did not come with the badges either. The badges were add-ons, some by the dealer, some by the importer (not all cars got them when they were imported) and some were after the car was bought.
Both of my 914s had them. If I were doing a full re-paint, I'd seriously consider permanent removal. I haven't done that yet, so they stay.
