As ever beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
I know what you mean about the interior, but how many people ever complement you on the interior of your 3.2 Carrera? Maybe sports car owners need to take pride in their pervers ineriors. At least TVR design their own instead of robbing a corporate parts bin (see Aston Martin or Jaguar XK8 for FORD buttons and lights)

I raised this same point in the 911 technical board, when discussions arise about the future direction of porsche. TVR are one of the few carmakers who only make sports cars. And one of even fewer who actually race their own product.

At the moment the build quality is right up there, see a recent issue of EVO, where the TVR Tamora blew axay the boxster, Morgan Aero8 and Jensen CV8. The journos grudgingly gave overall prize to the boxster, on "solidity" and every day practicality. TVR was only a slight margin behind though. On every other test the TVR was a clear winner.

Lets see if the TVR matches Porsche for reliablity in this years JD Power car survey. The water cooled porsches seem to have had a few product recalls, blown engines and the like.....

The point is that If I were buying a (£40,000) sports car today, it would be a TVR. The "standard model" new porsches have strayed too far towards GT's. The only hope for this generation of Porsche is to stick the 3.6 in the boxster which will kill off the 996 cabrio - so that will probably never happen.

Realistically though in 5 years will you yearn for an 8 year old 996 model the way we all dream about getting a 964RS now?
I don't think so, the 996 is designed for a different prosche owner, one who is not such an enthusiast, and not as dedicated to racing/track driving.

In five years I will be able to afford a TVR Tuscan - and boy will I be happy.

Wow what a rant....
