Replacing stock exhaust...
OK, quick question. My 80 SC has SSIs and a Dansk 2 in/2 out right now, and the volume is just a bit too much. I got the entire stock exhaust intact, with the original oil lines as part of the purchase. I'm thinking of replacing the stock exhaust for two reasons...see what the stock volume was like, and give me some time to plan a new exhaust without annoying the neighbors.
Now, my question is...do I need to put the stock oil lines back on with the stock exhaust, or will the backdated lines work with it? I'd love to be able to move back and forth between the stocker equipment and the SSIs, but if I have to drain the oil and change those lines every time, I probably won't bother...
Obviously, I did not do the SSI conversion myself, the PO did, so I don't have a clear idea of where the oil lines route, and I haven't climbed under the car yet to check this out myself.
