Stopped into Santa Monica BMW Monday to lay eyeballs on the new M3, SMBMW always has the hottest/newest models on the floor w/ a dealer marked-up price to keep them there and off the street.
I did not even know that a convertible model was available, I had heard that the coupe and sedan was it for now. Anywhoo..., they had a black/black convertible loaded w/ navigation and all other options, sticker was ~$79k and "market-adjusted" price was
$95,000!
The crazy thing is, some puffter will pay it just to have the first one parked in front of the cafes on Sunset Plaza. They also had a black/black coupe on floor, sticker $70k w/ $10k mark-up. I would bet anything that cash money could buy the coupe for sticker and the rag-top for close to sticker. The economy has never been worse with the strikes in Hollywood + general economy. There is still a stupid amount of $$ floating around in this city, however.
