I don't commute anymore, I work from home. When I need to go somewhere that requires good a/c, taking the wife with me or carrying more stuff than I can fit on the bike, I take my 330i. Otherwise, it sits and collects dust. My wife will begin commuting every day about 40 miles round trip for her new job and she has a 2006 Mini, which she likes, but doesn't love. I lust for another BMW 2002 and one would be a fraction of the cost of my 330i, which is coming off CPO warranty in August. I have a $389 a month payment on the 330i, which is no problem, but I could probably sell it for more than enough to pay off the note and pick up a 2002 for the remaining cash. So, for you guys who either have an old 911 or some other car for a daily driver, how do you like it? Do you have back up vehicles? FWIW, it's in the low 90's in Phoenix now and I don't have the a/c on in the house and am happy to drive with the windows down. The only way I see myself not being able to live with a 2002 is if I can't fit my rifles in it, as they barely fit in the other cars.
