Backpacks are good for about 2 1/2 hours, your shoulders will start tightening up. Use a tailpack or some toss over soft Wolfman packs. That's what I had once on my 1100s. Actually finally bought the hard bags too, but used very rarely as they made the bike kind of "fat."
