Why the need to put a percentage to it? Would it change the fact that paying more for workers to pick the vegetables would result in the farmers asking for more money. They want their margin to be maintained. Then the distributor, then the consumer's store, etc.
Same thing is happening in the Midwest meat packing industry. BY the way, I was not condoning the practice. Some farmers are knowingly looking aside and taking advantage of the illegal worker that will not complain. Would you assume that the offending farmers are all Democrats? Certainly they are all Capitolists.
