Best lemon pie to me is this lemon chiffon one Mom does, got the recipe from Dad's sister Katie. Imagine if you took the mirangue(sp?) and mixed it with the clear yellow custard stuff Supes refers to), light, fantastic really.
How about pumpkin pecan, sort of like a hybrid between the two, better than pumpkin, better than pecan(which is saying something, because good pecan pie is tough to beat)
I remember the first time I had strawberry rhubarb pie, yeah baby, grew the rhubarb just for the pie. The tartnes of the rhubarb complements the sweetness of the strawberry, they just go together. Sort of like chocolate and good red wine.
