I became a PCA member in 1985. My attraction to Pano has always been the tech section because I owned a 78 911 that I couldn't afford to have serviced by the dealer. I enjoyed the other articles but always felt they weren't written for me. I have to agree with Pete that there is a class thing that kinda stinks up the publication. So, I focused on the tech articles, the ads and of course the classified. I needed to learn as much as I could. The years rolled by and the pano collection grew for 20 years.
It wasn't until the birth of this forum that I realized just how limited the tech information really was. Wayne deserves a lot of thanks for the brainchild but it's the community here that really makes this place kick ass and be the wealth of knowledge that it has become. Ok, so what's your gripe Ron? Well, where is the factory rep? Do they lurk here? Do they see how rabid this fan base is? Why not offer up some factory info from those with the experience and knowledge before they are no longer alive. Why not pass the torch. Why not explain some of the mysteries that we struggle with. The PCA tech website kinda sucks it really mimics the tech section of pano. These guys need to wake up and embrace the population that really is responsible for keeping the Porsche legacy alive.
I would hope that PCA / Pano is responsible for the missing MM ads and that they finally responded to the out cry from these pages.
