The truck is a 2007 F150 super crew long bed FX4 with auto trans. It also has the flex fuel capability. The truck does not knock at start up or at idle cold or hot, but does knock after it warms up and under any load.
I tried 93 octane gas and it still knocks. The ford tech said it was the crystals in the injectors expanding that makes the noise.
