What is up with divorce in California?
A good friend of mine is getting divorced. His wife filed. I'm pretty sure the little princess got tired of her man's 80 hour work week. Anyway....
Rob and Tanya married 11 years ago. She was a beautiful curvaceous but vacuous blond. Rob is the hard working son of Mexican immigrants who built a small business valued at $14 million during the marriage. Rob built his business on service. He's rarely home. Not the best husband, but not abusive or mean, either.
Tanya has never worked, cleaned the house or cooked. They had a nanny for the 2 kids. Tanya filled her days with tennis lessons, lunches with the girls and basically "living the dream." Tanya was not a great wife, but she wasn't mean or evil.
Tanya decides she needs more from life than an absentee husband with a big paycheck. She files for divorce...
Preliminary damages; He owes her $7 million. He pays $20,000/month alimony for life plus child support.
Somebody help me make sense of this.
(P.S. If my wife is reading this, I LOVE YOU!
