Perhaps the law is different there, but here that would allow the property owner to invoke the Protection of Property Act. I suspect the officer was trying to avoid hassle on his shift, but if she insisted he leave that room (to which he had no right) he could be arrested for failing to comply with a legal order.

I think she should persue that. His behaviors are interfering with her enjoyment of life. If he were housed in a different property, this might not apply (and again the laws to protect the individual might vary) but as he is in her home, she has the right to enjoy that home.

Failing that, perhaps her pistol could accidentally discharge several times.
