Proof of
one answered prayer would be phenomenal. One answered prayer is all it would take. It would not be "unsettling", though. I don't think nonbelievers fear that some sort of god exists - there just is no evidence that one does.
I have always found it interesting that the only prayers that god "answers" are the ones that are statistically liable to occur anyway. He never answers prayers for things we know to be impossible. Interesting.
