Getting things through security seems to depend on the airport how busy it is.
You won't believe this one.
I brought back some hot chcken wing sauce from upstate NY and knew there was no way I could carry it on, so I checked it in my suitcase...
Wouldn't you know it, I get called down to security as my chicken wing sauce flagged some alarm!
I had to throw it out or else my bag wouldn't get on the plane. Oh well.
The TSA guy was a real prick about it. Like it was some kind of secret explosive sauce or something. Everyone else around him was laughing at the episode.
Personally I think they wanted to keep it for themselves, but that is just my opinion.
