I must not be a liberal, then. I see government as a public "co-op." I see it as a place where we pool some of our resources to accomplish goals that benefit everyone in ways private business could never do. I see roads and bridges. I see safe drinking water supply systems and sanitary waste systems and treatment plants. I see police and fire services. I see hospitals and schools. Does this mean I am not a liberal?

I must be a conservative. I earn good money and my taxes are used to run government. I too have a problem with illegal immigrants. But do I have to oppose other peoples' languages in order to be a good conservative? As a conservative, do I have to bemoan the cultural diversity in America, and the use of languages other than English? Because if I do, then I guess I won't qualify.
