The upside to a s/c is there is no lag, it's always boosting. The downside is that it will consume about 50 hp to run. It's just not free hp like you would get from a tubo. IMHO I think the s/c is the way to go because it's just not that common. I plan on adding a s/c to my 1978 SC when I do the rebuild in a couple of years.
