A nice trick I've found, break the clay into small pieces, enough to cover a few fingertips. Use each small piece for one panel, then throw it in the trash. This guarantees that you're doing each panel with a clean clay and not adding scratches. Also, if you're clumsy like me and drop the entire clay bar, you have to throw it all away. Do it this way, you just throw out the little piece.

If you've never done it before, you'll be amazed at the difference. Use lots of spray to keep it lubed. Too bad the SOBs are making you waste your time. Ask them if they'll reimburse you for the hours you waste getting estimates, at the same rate that you charge customers.
