Hey Steve,
I see you modified the exhaust, unfortunately removing the OEM Cat will cause the back fires.
I recently changed to a Cat By Pass and Sw Chip and yes mine back fires from time to time. A price to pay for increase in performance.
How is your sub-dip on RPM's? if it dip too low you may need to lean out your air/fuel mixture then adjust base idle to 880 RPM's
