this is just an idea im not sure how bad the damage is but you can go to your local boat store and by a product called Marinetex its an epoxy that can be molded like putty the stuff is amazing ive used it on several items and its hard as hell you can use it to reconstruct the housing it will file or sand like metal then drill it out tap it and you can tourqe the bolt into it this is one of the best products i have ever used i know it sounds strange but my dad has repaired mounts on the boat this way boaters even use this stuff to repair cracked engine blocks
