But he was only called on to make two difficult saves last night, one diving arm save on Roberts and the knock down (he couldn't catch it) of Malikns slap-shot shot during the five on three. And don't start quoting his save percentage unless you also look at 'scoring chances' and weak peripheral shots.

Early in the first period the Wings had a bad turnover in their zone and Sykora walked in from the sideboards all alone.

I am not saying he's the best goalie but he deserves a lot of credit which he does not get at times.
