Crashing is inevitable.. the only way I ever managed to make it work [after crashing my first 3 planes] was to buy a zagi
http://www.zagi.com ... they're intended for dogfighting... while I have not yet fought with them, I can tell you that they are absolutely indestructible.
Very high quality and aerobatic too... even with a full throttle crash from 70 feet it just bounced, and flew again in 10 minutes after some minor winglet repair. keep in mind, that was probably from 80 mph +.
