Howdy Reaper,

Though initial airflow to them was adequate, this machine is raced often here in the south, No Name, Daytona, Roebling, Sebring in incredibly hot weather at high boost levels. To ensure the same bullet proof durability of the 2.1tt for extra insurance, you'll note on PWR's homepage where it's on the high banks at Daytona between 1 and 2 that it now has dual airscoops integrated into the tops of the rear fenders behind the quarter windows.

The 3.4TT and the other 2.6TT - now a 3.0TT - have conventional pancake intercoolers on top of the motor because of rear body architecture space limitations.
