One "kid" who is good enough? Jacoby Ellsbury, #46, Red Sox. He's day to day now with a wrist injury...but here he is, his rookie season, leading the American league in stolen bases. Back in '06, he was on the college world series winning team...Oregon State Beavers. Played High School ball in Madras, Oregon...
Red sox called him up out of the minors during the world series last year. His stats for the series:
Batted .438. 7 hits, 4 doubles, four runs scored, 3 RBI's, 1 stolen base, with an on base %age for four games of .563.
