It was yet another great charity show at Arapahoe Comunity College put on by our clubs.
Cystic Fibrosis this year.
Eat your heart out East Coast guys – 55-70º F, nice breeze, bright sun and no humidity.
It had sprinkled overnight and we had ideal weather.
Great cars; a ‘new-to-owner' beautiful Sepia ’75 Carrera (with two engines), a nice 914-6, great Speedsters
(including Best-of-Show), show quality 356s (I liked the T6 Roadster), a 3-instrument ’65 912, and a bevy
of later cars. Too few longhoods but many in the parking lots. Aah - drivers all!
Non-Porsches included some great cars. There were good to great examples of almost everything.
The ‘cuties’ were an Iseta and a ’59 Nash Metropolitan convertible (the 484-LBS license plate refers
to the 1484# weight). As it turns out my friend who took me, has a running ’54 Metropolitan hardtop
for sale for $2600. Hummm. Just what I need for groceries.
I would guess there were 2-300 cars and many thousands in attendance. We left about 1 PM and
there were ¼ mi lines to get in. I need to talk to Tom about more staff to take the money.
Every dime goes to charity.
Best,
Grady
