Eddie Gossage president of the Texas Motor Speedway is probably afraid of losing one of his two races....
There was an article on Paddocktalk.com (now undergoing DB maintenance) about the IRL people visiting Cleveland to see about hosting a race there next year. He's just trying to protect his turf.
