Not necessarily. There are federal weapon transportation laws. As long as you do not make a scheduled stop in certain states, you can pass through without doing that state's song/dance.

Regardless, the OP is asking how to carry his weapon in his car...he didn't say anything about crossing state lines. If you are going to carry concealed, then storing/locking the weapon inside your vehicle makes it useless in event of an "emergency". Wear it, or leave it home.
