. Ive got a very similar car, guards red with cookie cutters. Ive only had it a couple of weeks and it just about ready to get on the road.
Ive just done the belts and the engine is running nice and smooth. Ive had to make some plates up to fix the damaged seat mounts on the drivers side floor, cant weld myself so need to find someone with a mig to sort that.
Going to tax and insure it tomorrow. If it doesnt blow up in the next couple of weeks I was going to respray it myself and get someone to refurbish the wheels.
By the sounds of it you did yours yourself and it looks like you have made a good job of them, how did you set about doing it? Mine are quite corroded at the moment, what kind of condition were yours in to start with? I'm up for anything that will save me a few ££ so I would give it a go myself.
