The swtich to Hoosier R6 from BFG R1 was due to size. BFG does not have the 245/35 up front that I wanted. They have a 245/40, but that is a bit tall.

This was my first time on Hoosiers and my initial impression is that they are faster but will not wear nearly as well. I've been told that to get the best wear and long term performance from the Hoosiers you have to swap them from one side of the car to the other pretty often, every two sessions or so. I'd prefer to stay on BFG for this reason and cost, but I don't want to sacrifice on size.

I am going to miss Mid-Ohio this year but hope to make the trip to Nationals next year. I've seen Sasha Clark on the NASA forums and have checked out some of his lap times before, yes, he can get around the track! There is plenty he could teach me before I became a threat.

I've love to see a Porsche do well in GTS-3 at Nationals. Last year BMW took the top 5 spots IIRC. With the changes I just made I went from mid-pack to the front overnight. My time on Saturday was 0.4 seconds faster than the fastest lap recorded in GTS-3 at our club race in March, and looking at my co-driver's time tells me my car now has the potential to run away from the field. Look for a P-car on the podium in 2009!
