If I have to get up early for work I learned this method:

1. Set alarm for 30 mins before you actually have to get up
2. Put 2 Tylenol 500's and a big glass of water next to the bed
3. alarm goes off, pop the pills and slam the water
4. go back to sleep for 30 mins.

By the time you have to get up the pills and water will have evened you out and your good for a few hours.
