Very enjoyable thread
Most of my hot button issues have already been well vetted, however:
- Set a strict limit on the number of lawyers who are allowed to take the bar every year...if a prospective lawyer doesn't pass the exam the first time, they cannot take it again. Study harder, Sparky.
- Return to the States the power vested in the constitution.
- Eliminate seniority appointments in the House and Senate. Make the process random.
- Eliminate all preferential programs in academia based on race and gender.
- Eliminate the Department of Education then review every federal agency with an eye towards deconstruction.
- No one is allowed to declare intent to run for president more than four months out from their party's convention. All candidates then have just two months after the convention until the general election. The amount of bandwidth that is wasted on our political process is odd and unnecessary.
