I still don't know how someone can live in Phoenix in a tract housing complex w/ a HOA. I'd rather be homeless in L.A. and sleep in my car by the beach. (As I was and did many years ago). To each their own, YMMV, etc...

FWIW, I've always hated tract housing as well, although some of those tract-houses are pretty freakin' nice.
If you ask me, it isn't much different that living in an actual apartment. Probably better, actually.
But HOA? No thanks...
And Phoenix heat? NO THANKS!
