Have him peruse Paul Frere's "911 story". . .works better on engineer types than catholism works on children. He will only then have to question from which bumber crop to choose . . (obligitory; Muhahahaha).
If a certain Minerva blue 3.0 is pushing for an expidite, get him going on on a few engineering highlights. The CG items are good for a starter; Like the top of the (nicely balanced) flat 6 is about the same plane as the top of the bumber. And how the heavy spring elements are as low as they can go, in the form of torsion bars. Then segway into how the drysump oilsystm contributes to the low CG, high service intervls, . .ect . ..
If *that* doesnt work, nothing will. But hey, BMW's *are* very pretty!
