I was at Mosport for the Vintage Racing weekend. The top class is "wings and slicks".
On Sunday morning during that classes first race, driver Dino Crescentri lost control of his Wolf Dallara Can Am car at the kink in the back straight. There is a bit of a rise half way down the straight and rumour has it his car got some air under it, turned sideways and rolled several times before hitting the tire wall. Sadly, he did not make it.
It taked a special kind of courage and skill to drive a 60-70s Can Am car. Below is a picture of a similar chassis.
