Okay guys, a little update.
The 911 is coming home for good tomorrow morning. I spent a few hours at it's current resting place preparing it for the short trip to my house. I removed three original Fuchs rims with (dare I say "vintage") Goodyear VR60 "Gatorbacks" that were flat. For the trip, I just put some old cookies with inflated tires on it.
I removed some loose pieces in the car. Without doors, anything is likely to fall out on the way home!
I discovered that the deal will include a nice original steering wheels, some chrome door handles, some pull out rear quarter windows, the gearshift knob and boot, window winders, some trim and lenses, etc. Somehow, the decklid disappeared. But, it was original and I will eventually buy a ducktail for it (in, like, 20 years when this is finally roadworthy). I'll post some photos later on.
But, by noon tomorrow, the $250 911 will be coming home with it's complete engine and 915 intact.
Later,
David
