Yes I agree,

The number one rule for anyone doing wiring for speakers and components...get all the carpet out of the way. It does add extra work, but you will never get a clean install unless you remove all the carpet...when I installed the stereo system in my Saab, I took the passanger seat out and all the carpet on one side of the car was completely pulled up...it is worth the extra work, that way you can zip tie the wires and make a nice clean install, instead of trying to cram wires in places they do not want to go...bottom line, take all that carpet out and get to work
