it looks somone got lazy and didn't want to rewire the car correctly. The factor speaker wire is good tho you could use better did work great for me with my 45rms x4 amp. what i would do is find out where those speaker cables end up at( not the speaker end but that to the radio) it's posible the speakers were wired for an amp. if that was the case the factory or aftermarket radio wouldent power the front speakers. If it's bugging you that much pull off those original speakers and see if that aftermarket wire is connected to it and ensure the stock wire is still there. And if you luck out and that new aftermarket wire is connected behind the stereo you could just slowly tug on it untill you can pull it all out. Either way the stock wiring of the speakers is a little wierd b/c of the fader switch but that's an easy fix and will save you time.
I actualy made custom panels with 6.5 components and i used the stock wiring and a little hardwiring or wiretaping here and there
