Why don't you just take out an ad in the local paper and put up some fliers saying that your gun club will give free appraisals to anyone thinking of participating in the gun buy back program. If they're motivated enought to take their guns in, they'll be motivated enough to call you.
Most gun buy back programs offer anonymity, meaning turned-in guns don't even get checked for balistics or being stolen.
